One Man, One Tree – Bus Ride to a Wedding

Before you score, you first must have a goal.

Mike in front of one large tree
Above is a picture of Mike in front of only ONE huanacaxtle tree. It is one of the largest, shadiest and longest lasting trees, able to reach heights of up to 125 feet with a trunk measuring more than 12 feet in diameter. It is definitely an impressive tree and the township of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle where we have been for 2.5 months has been named after it.

A Lone Jicama in the Cockpit at Sunrise

Education is what remains after one has forgotten
What one has learned in school.
Albert Einstein

Jicama in the morning sun
The other morning we found a jicama gently propped up on a cushion in our cockpit. Don’t worry, this is not a case of whodunit but simply what happens when many sailors head back north where it is cooler and a few of us stay south to hold the fort.

Where is the Inspiration? Let’s Trade Coconuts…

How many cares one loses when one
Decides not to be something
But to be someone.

Beach found items
Large cities do not inspire me to write much.  We visited the malecón (seawall topped by walkway) in Puerto Vallarta (PV for short) as well as what they call “Zona Romantica”.
